Everything you need to know about OCAR programmes, admissions, and what to expect.
About the Programmes
The Oxford Scholar Programme is a fully bespoke 1:1 online research experience. Each student is matched with a single PhD researcher from our Oxbridge, top UK university, and Ivy League network and works with them to produce an original piece of academic research tailored entirely to the student's interests and goals. The programme costs £2,000 and admits four cohorts a year on fixed deadlines.
Both programmes are fully 1:1 research experiences. The Oxford Scholar Programme (£2,000) covers the full research process from question to completed paper. The Oxford Publication Fellowship (£3,400) includes everything in the Scholar Programme, plus additional mentor meetings and dedicated support to prepare and submit your research to a peer-reviewed journal.
All OCAR mentors are PhD candidates at the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Ivy League universities (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, UPenn, Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell), and other leading UK universities, actively working in their fields.
OCAR covers a wide range of disciplines including humanities, social sciences, STEM, law, economics, philosophy, and more. Because both programmes are 1:1, your research topic is entirely your own — chosen in collaboration with your mentor at the start of the programme.
All students produce an original academic research paper by the end of the programme. Many of our students have gone on to present their work at international conferences, publish in academic journals, and gain admission to the world’s most competitive universities.
Admissions
OCAR is open to high school students and undergraduates from anywhere in the world. We are a global programme and welcome applications from students in all countries and educational systems.
