A new programme supporting early-career PhD researchers at Oxbridge and leading UK universities to carry their work beyond the academy. Applications now open for our inaugural 2026–2027 cohort.
The OCAR Research Fellowship is a new programme that supports early-career PhD researchers at Oxbridge and leading UK universities to carry their work beyond the academy. We believe the best research deserves the widest possible audience — and we invest in researchers who share that belief.
Fellows produce and host a podcast series drawing on their research, interviewing academics and public figures at the cutting edge of their field.
Fellows contribute essays and commentary to the OCAR Blog, translating complex research into compelling writing for a broad, intellectually curious audience.
Fellows engage directly with OCAR students — contributing to symposia, research discussions, and mentorship conversations that connect students to live academic work.
We are recruiting our first cohort of OCAR Research Fellows for the 2026–2027 academic year. If you are a PhD researcher at a leading UK university and you want to bring your research to a wider audience, we would love to hear from you.
