Everything you need to know about OCAR programmes, admissions, and what to expect.
About the Programmes
The Oxford Scholar Programme is a fully bespoke 1:1 online research experience. Each student is matched with a single PhD researcher from our Oxbridge, top UK university, and Ivy League network and works with them to produce an original piece of academic research tailored entirely to the student's interests and goals. The programme costs £2,400 and runs on rolling admissions.
Both programmes are fully 1:1 research experiences. The Oxford Scholar Programme (£2,400) covers the full research process from question to completed paper. The Oxford Publication Fellowship (£4,400) includes everything in the Scholar Programme, plus additional mentor meetings and dedicated support to prepare and submit your research to a peer-reviewed journal.
All OCAR faculty are current teaching faculty members at the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, or Ivy League Universities (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, UPenn, Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell). We do not partner with faculty from other institutions.
OCAR covers a wide range of disciplines including humanities, social sciences, STEM, law, economics, philosophy, and more. Because both programmes are 1:1, your research topic is entirely your own — chosen in collaboration with your mentor at the start of the programme.
All students produce an original academic research paper by the end of the programme. Many of our students have gone on to present their work at international conferences, publish in academic journals, and gain admission to the world’s most competitive universities.
Admissions
OCAR is open to high school students and undergraduates from anywhere in the world. We are a global programme and welcome applications from students in all countries and educational systems.
Both the Oxford Scholar Programme and the Oxford Publication Fellowship operate on rolling admissions — there are no fixed deadlines and you can apply at any time throughout the year.
Application details and requirements will be listed here once the admissions portal goes live. Typical components include personal statement, academic transcripts, and a research interests statement.
